In times of trouble, I love to sit with God on the beach. Whenever you read a good book, somewhere in the world a door opens to allow in more light.<\/blockquote><p>When I was a little girl, I wanted to be a writer.  I shared this with an author friend of the family.  She said \u201cLoretta, write what you know.\u201d  But at 10 years old \u2013 <em>What did I know?<\/em><\/p><p>Flash forward a couple dozen years and I found myself with a plethora of experiences relating to medical issues: my own, my family, and my friends.  With those experiences came the stories.  Survival stories, really.<\/p><p>Through these stories I realized God was leading me to do more and the birth of this blog and the book <em>Surviving Medical Mayhem<\/em> was born.
