Crispy Skillet Salmon by Command Cooking

Crispy Skillet Salmon is a dinnertime hero if you ask me! Why, you might wonder? Well, first, it only requires two ingredients. Yep, you read that right. Two whole ingredients. Your favorite tender salmon with a little sprinkle of sea salt. If you need more convincing, know that Crispy Skillet Salmon is ready in under 15 minutes so you can be eating well even when you’re in a hurry! See? Doesn’t this delightfully simple and flavorful dish deserve a cape for its delicious awesomeness?!


1 1/2-2 pounds salmon, cut into individual filets

sea salt, to taste

oil, as needed for pan-frying


Step 1 Season the salmon flesh liberally with kosher salt and any other desired seasonings.

Step 2 Heat a large cast iron skillet or non-stick skillet over high heat and add enough oil to generously coat the surface, about 3 tablespoons.

Step 3 Allow the skillet to heat up for a few minutes until it is sizzling hot.

Step 4 Carefully place the salmon filets flesh-side down, skin-side up on the hot skillet.

Step 5 Allow the salmon to cook for 6 minutes on the flesh side.

Step 6 Use a metal spatula to carefully flip the salmon and cook until it is done to your liking, about 4 minutes.

Step 7 Remove the salmon filets from the skillet using a spatula. Step 8 Serve with desired sides.
