When Will It End?

Every feel like you are in a season of life that you really wish you could leave?  Like you are in a blizzard that never seems to end.

I have felt like that a few times in my life.  When my mother was battling cancer, watching her suffer in pain and not being able to eradicate it was difficult to say the least.  Balancing home, business, husband and daughter along with being a full time caregiver were not my finest hours, months or years.  When I felt as if I could not longer go on; I did not know that she was fast approaching the end of her time on earth and our good Lord would call her home.  And during my time in that season I learned a lot.  So much so I ended up writing and speaking about it surviving medical mayhem.  It was “gain through pain”.

While I don’t like spending time in a blizzard; when a new one approaches I try to remember that it won’t last forever.  And that I am not alone.  God is with me.  Psalm 139:5 tells us “He goes before us and He stands behind us.” I close my eyes and envision Jesus standing behind me with his arms around me and God ahead beckoning me to “Come this way”.  In Joshua 1:9..”.be strong and courageous, never be afraid or discouraged because I am your God, the eternal one, and I will remain with you wherever you go.”

If you are in a blizzard right now, know that you can reach out and ask for help.  Don’t try to weather it alone.  You don’t have to.  God wants us to join together to help one another.  And together – reach for Him.  For the Lord’s favor is for a lifetime.  Weeping may linger for the night, but joy comes with the morning (Psam30:5).
